CJC-1295 (with DAC) is a synthetic peptide analogue of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH), a 44-amino-acid hypothalamic peptide that stimulates pituitary somatotroph cells in vivo. The CJC-1295 sequence corresponds to GHRH(1-29) with substitutions to improve protease resistance, conjugated to a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) moiety that covalently binds to serum albumin after reconstitution, prolonging circulating half-life in pharmacokinetic model studies. It is used in research settings to study the GHRH–GH axis signaling dynamics and receptor binding kinetics.
